What It Does
The POV Consistency Checker reads your chapters against your intended point of view and flags every violation: head-hopping (jumping between characters' thoughts mid-scene), knowledge slips (your POV character knowing things they can't know), narrative distance drift, and accidental tense shifts.
Each violation comes with the exact excerpt, an explanation of why it breaks POV, a severity rating, and a suggested rewrite. You also get a POV profile showing which characters narrate which chapters - invaluable for multi-POV books.
How to Use It
Select Your Project
Choose the book to analyze and optionally pick specific chapters (it defaults to the first 8).
Declare Your Intended POV
Tell the AI whether you're writing first person, third limited, omniscient, or multiple POV - and who your POV characters are. Not sure? It can detect your dominant POV for you.
Fix Each Violation
Work through the violations by severity. Each includes the exact sentence and a concrete rewrite suggestion.
Estimated Credit Usage
Cost scales with how many chapters you analyze.
