What It Does
The Pacing Analyzer uses AI to evaluate the rhythm and flow of your story, identifying sections that move too fast, drag too slow, or need better balance between action, dialogue, and description.
It analyzes sentence structure, scene length, tension levels, and narrative momentum across chapters to help you maintain reader engagement throughout. Essential for ensuring your story has a compelling rhythm that matches your genre and audience expectations.

Best Practices
Know Your Genre's Rhythm
Thrillers need fast pacing; literary fiction can be more contemplative. Use the AI suggestions as a baseline, then adjust for your genre.
Vary Pace Intentionally
Good pacing isn't uniformly fast—it's about variation. Slow sections provide breathing room after intense scenes.
Check After Major Cuts or Additions
Whenever you delete or add significant content, re-analyze pacing to ensure the new rhythm still works.
Focus on Act Transitions
Pay special attention to pacing at the end of Act 1, the middle of Act 2, and leading into the climax—these are critical momentum points.
